Perfect isolation

We set up Ty Coch to host small groups of family and friends wanting to spend time together, with shared space to gather and private spaces to retreat. We only ever let the property as a whole so there will be no crossover with other guests during your stay. Our unique set-up in a secluded location with 10 acres of outdoor space, private beach access and three separate cottages means Ty Coch offers the perfect place for people to reconnect with family and friends.

The generous locally sourced hamper set the tone for our super stay. Views of the sea, sunsets and Anglesey coast from the property were very special and we loved walking in the landscaped private grounds with stream and shore. There is something magical about the site that entranced us all young and old. The Dairy easily accommodated our large family celebration and all the buildings were warm and very comfortable. Even in Welsh winter weather, there was lots to do outdoors in the area! We will be back. Thank you to the hosts for making all this possible.

Simply the most wonderful place to visit. The beautiful gardens, the lovely cottages, the wonderful sea views and the peace and quiet made for an idyllic break, for all our group. Proximity to Snowdonia and other beautiful locations is great too. We have visited some fantastic places around the world, but have rarely been as sad to leave, as when we left Ty Coch.

It's no real understatement to say that I am feeling bereft following our departure from Ty Coch. Perhaps I am missing the views out over the sea, the stunning sunsets, the evenings by the fire pit, family games of cricket, morning dips in the sea or the big communal dinners. What I do know with certainty is that this is an incredibly special place. We have all come home feeling infinitely more relaxed and rejuvenated, and know that we will absolutely return. We'll need to get in quick though - there's a reason this place books up way in advance!

We had three sunny swims……. everyone else saw puffins but me, but I did see a heron as big as an ostrich! And the night sky! Wow!!

When I first arrived I thought they were gonna still look old and STINK (no offence) but when I saw our lovely house I opened our doors and started cartwheeling around. We had bonfires every night it was so amazing I really didn’t want to go! The sea was amazing too, everything was amazing! (Except for when I lost my colour changing ring on the beach!). Arrival and departure

Ty Coch is available from 4.30pm on the day of your arrival, directions and access instructions are sent in advance but typically we will be there to meet you in person. Friday departures are by 10am when our housekeeper will arrive for the changeover, weekend bookings include all day Sunday with departures by 9pm on Sunday evening.

Need to know

Some things that you may want to know:

Dogs - Ty Coch is a great place to come with your dogs, we allow up to three dogs per booking and these must be pre-booked on the booking form. Please note there will be livestock, including lambs in neighbouring fields. Please keep dogs off the furniture and clean up after your dog.

Special occasions - the main dining table seats 14 guests but can seat 20 at a squeeze, so a few extra guests are welcome to drop in for your celebration dinner - there are great places to stay within easy walking distance details can be found in the Location section.

Events - we occasional host Weddings and events at Ty Coch, this is by arrangement only, please go to the Weddings & Events page.

Rights of way - a footpath runs from the far corner of the beach to the village which is used once or twice a day by dog walkers. There is no right of way onto or through the property but once in a while the well tended paths prove too enticing for a walker, just redirect them to the footpaths left or right from the beach or to the Wales Coastal Path that runs past the main entrance to Ty Coch.
